Adolescent DBT Group Therapy
Adolescent DBT Group Therapy at Resilient Health Services is a supportive, skills-based group designed for teens who are struggling with big emotions and want to feel more in control, confident, and understood. This group offers adolescents a safe place to learn tools for managing intense feelings while connecting with peers who may be experiencing similar challenges.
Adolescence can be overwhelming. Academic pressure, changing relationships, family stress, and internal emotional shifts can lead to feelings that are intense, confusing, or hard to manage. Many teens find themselves reacting strongly, feeling misunderstood, or unsure how to cope when emotions build up. This group is built specifically to support teens during this stage of life in a way that is validating, age-appropriate, and empowering.
The Adolescent DBT Group is held in a small group setting at Resilient Health Services, creating an environment that feels safe, welcoming, and supportive. Teens are encouraged to participate at their own pace and are never pressured to share. Group guidelines help promote respect, confidentiality, and emotional safety, allowing participants to feel comfortable being themselves.
This group is based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based approach shown to be highly effective for adolescents who struggle with emotional regulation. DBT helps teens learn how to balance acceptance of their emotions while also gaining skills to create positive change. The focus is not on “fixing” teens, but on giving them tools to better understand themselves and respond more effectively to emotional challenges.
Throughout the group, teens will learn skills such as:
- Emotional regulation to better understand and manage intense feelings
- Distress tolerance to cope during stressful or overwhelming moments
- Mindfulness skills to stay grounded and present
- Interpersonal effectiveness to improve communication and relationships
- Self-confidence and self-awareness through skill practice and support
Each session includes a mix of skill-building, discussion, and real-life application. Teens practice new strategies in a supportive environment and learn how to use these tools at school, at home, and with peers. One of the most powerful aspects of group therapy is realizing they are not alone—many teens discover that others share similar struggles, which can reduce isolation and self-doubt.
This group may be a good fit for teens who:
- Feel emotionally overwhelmed or out of control
- Struggle with anxiety, anger, sadness, or frustration
- Have difficulty with peer or family relationships
- Want to build confidence and healthier coping skills
- Feel misunderstood or disconnected
- Each group therapy session is $75.00
Adolescent DBT Group Therapy at Resilient Health Services provides teens with a strong foundation for emotional growth, resilience, and self-understanding. With consistent participation, teens can walk away feeling more capable, supported, and confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges—knowing they don’t have to face big emotions alone.

Bipolar Alliance Support Experience
The Bipolar Alliance Support Experience is a supportive, psychoeducational group created with a clear purpose: to provide individuals with a bipolar diagnosis a sense of community, understanding, and practical tools to enhance daily functioning. This group was founded out of a desire to reduce isolation and bring together individuals who share similar lived experiences in a space rooted in respect, validation, and mutual support.
Living with bipolar disorder can often feel lonely, particularly when symptoms fluctuate or when individuals feel misunderstood by those around them. The Bipolar Alliance Support Experience offers participants the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who understand the realities of managing mood changes, emotional intensity, and the long-term nature of the diagnosis. Through shared discussion and learning, participants are reminded that they are not alone in their journey.
The primary goal of the group is to improve overall functioning through structured psychoeducation. Sessions focus on increasing participants’ understanding of bipolar disorder, including mood cycles, symptom recognition, medication adherence, and the impact of lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, and routine. By strengthening insight into their diagnosis, participants are better equipped to recognize early warning signs and make informed decisions that support stability and wellness.
In addition to education, the group emphasizes practical skill development and shared problem-solving. Participants are encouraged to explore coping strategies, discuss personal experiences, and learn from one another in a supportive environment. This collaborative approach fosters confidence, accountability, and empowerment while honoring each individual’s unique path toward stability. The Bipolar Alliance Support Experience is designed to complement—not replace—individual therapy or medical treatment. It provides a consistent, supportive setting where individuals can deepen their understanding of bipolar disorder while building meaningful connections with others who share similar challenges and goals. The group environment promotes safety, inclusivity, and hope, allowing participants to engage at their own pace.
Ultimately, the Bipolar Alliance Support Experience exists to strengthen community and resilience. Through education, connection, and shared growth, the group supports participants in developing greater self-awareness, improved functioning, and a stronger sense of empowerment in their daily lives.

Man Made Anger Group
Man Made Anger Group is a structured, supportive anger management group designed specifically for men who want to better understand, manage, and transform their anger into healthier emotional responses. This 12-week series meets Wednesdays from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Resilient Health Services and provides a safe, respectful environment where participants can explore the roots of anger, develop practical coping tools, and build stronger relationships with themselves and others.
Anger is a normal human emotion, but when it is misunderstood or unmanaged, it can negatively impact mental health, relationships, work performance, and overall well-being. This group recognizes that many men have been socialized to suppress emotions or express them only through anger. Man Made Anger challenges those patterns by encouraging insight, accountability, and growth through guided discussion, skill-building exercises, and peer support.
One core focus of the group is mastering emotional regulation. Participants learn how to recognize early warning signs of anger, understand the physiological and psychological processes involved, and apply grounding and calming techniques in real-time situations. Skills such as impulse control, distress tolerance, and emotional awareness are practiced to help members respond rather than react when faced with stress or conflict.
Another key topic is assertive communication. Many conflicts arise not from anger itself, but from unexpressed needs, boundaries, or frustrations. The group teaches participants how to communicate clearly, respectfully, and confidently without aggression or passivity. Members learn how to express emotions, set boundaries, and resolve conflict in ways that promote understanding and mutual respect.
The group also explores drivers of anger, helping participants identify underlying emotions such as fear, shame, hurt, disappointment, or perceived loss of control. By examining personal triggers, belief systems, and learned behaviors, men gain insight into why anger shows up in certain situations and how past experiences influence present reactions.
Equally important is the development of empathy and self-compassion. Participants work on increasing empathy for others while also learning to extend compassion toward themselves. This includes challenging harsh self-criticism, recognizing personal struggles, and understanding the impact of anger on loved ones. Building empathy supports healthier relationships and more balanced emotional responses.
Throughout the 12-week series, the group emphasizes accountability, personal responsibility, and progress—not perfection. Members are encouraged to practice skills outside of sessions and reflect on successes and challenges. Man Made Anger Group is suitable for men seeking personal growth, improved relationships, court-recommended anger management support, or tools to manage stress and emotional intensity.
By the end of the program, participants leave with greater self-awareness, practical strategies for managing anger, and a stronger sense of emotional control—supporting healthier choices, improved communication, and long-term personal resilience.
Each Group Therapy Session is $75.00
